Somatic Stress Release Workshop

An experiential workshop featuring TRE® at Blossom Yoga in Concord, NH

All of our experience of the world--from frustration and anxiety to overwhelm or burnout-- is a symptom of nervous system dysregulation. If you want to change your experience, it's crucial to practice supporting your nervous system by signaling the body to return to a state of rest and recuperation. In this workshop, you’ll learn different somatic stress release practices using the breath and body, and you’ll be introduced to Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE®) or have an opportunity to deepen your TRE practice.

TRE is a body-based method for releasing deeply held stress and tension in the muscles and connective tissue. You'll activate the natural vibration or tremor mechanism available in every human being, and then lie down and literally shake away stress. This workshop includes intentional breathing, stretching, somatic shaking and reflection prompts. Dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat, water, and your favorite pen.

Vibe: Wear workout clothes/may get a little sweaty. Think fatiguing your legs while upright and then lying down on your mat in constructive rest.

Afterwards: My intention is for you to have a body-led experience, increase self-awareness and self-compassion, and feel rebalanced like you got a massage from the inside out.
