Hello, I’m Carolyn Barnwell

I help high-achievers avoid burnout and reinvigorate themselves by releasing stress stored in their bodies in order to access more peace and possibility, and to elevate their impact. I do this through experiential workshops and private sessions using science-backed somatic, movement, and guided visualization techniques.

Teaching people how to work with their energy and emotions in order to profoundly impact not only their own lives, but also to build a better world, is my life’s work.

I believe:

It’s possible to live a big, full life without constant stress. When you know how to regulate your body’s fear-based responses, you unlock your ability to optimize your well-being, which ripples out.

If you free the stress from your body, and the rest will follow. I know this firsthand. Body-based tools and strategies helped me go from surviving to thriving so I could grow my career after post-traumatic stress and anxiety, creating documentaries in partnership with National Geographic and other mission-driven organizations. And not only was my career impacted, but my whole life changed.

If self-regulation was the #1 priority of everyone on the planet, we would have a completely different world. We need more people who are driven to create positive change to cultivate their resilience, not only for their own sake, but because the human species co-regulates; the state of your nervous system affects everyone around you, and vice versa. We’re in this together.

The Difference

Releasing stress and emotions in healthy and effective ways is becoming one of the most critical skills of our time. But knowledge will only take you so far. You can't think your way to calm, you have to work with your body first. This builds your capacity to “choose” how you think, act, and feel … and that is how you change your life.

You can’t have a breakthrough without your body being on-board.

A fulfilling career, wonderful relationships, and a great life depend on us being regulated and nourished. We need space to be human—to let loose, really rest, laugh and play, and not always be on as a leader. Let this be your invitation to make some time and space.
